Manicures
What is a manicure? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it's a treatment for the care (to improve the appearance and health of) the fingernails and hands. Although it's possible to do your own manicure at home, most manicures are professionally done in a nail salon such as The Nail Suite. A manicure generally consists of filing the nails, shaping the free edge of the nail, necessary nail treatments, trimming of the cuticle, application of nail polish, and a soothing massage of the hands. Manicures may also consist of shorter versions of a full manicure, application of acrylic nails, and artistic work done on each nail.

Pedicures
The obvious question is...what, then is a pedicure? We can pretty much repeat all the information contained in
the previous paragraph. A pedicure provides care - usually professional - to improve the appearance and health of
the toenails and feet. Additionally, it is now fairly common - and expected - to provide leg care below the knees
during a pedicure. This might include using a pumice stone to remove dead cells from the botoom of the feet, depilation
(removal of hair) by shaving and/or waxing, granular exfoliation (removal of dead skin cells), and application of
moisturizing creams, along with a leg massage. At The Nail Suite, we are licensed to provide
hot rock massages to the arms below the elbows and the legs below the knees!
